I looked in the mirror today and realized my shoulders are lopsided, after tilting my head, my shoulders, and my entire body until they were even I realized, I didn't even care. I went downstairs to tell my mother of my new discovery, her reply? "So?" As she sat on the couch, not even looking up from her novel while her glasses cautiously clung to the very tip of her nose and the light from the window casted fleeting shadows across the pages. "Exactly." I whispered as I went to go look my imperfection again. "Exactly." I looked in the mirror today and realized I'm pretty and wondered why I never realized this before.

When you sleep at night I play connect-the-dots, making constellations out of each and every freckle along your face. I've got them memorize, I've named them all, your face is my night sky, it's what I want to fall asleep to every night. As you drift to sleep and the sunshine that always lingers in your eyes begins to fade as your eyelids begin to droop in need of sleep my never-sleeping eyes begin to play my game and study my creations out of god's design, and as my fingers lightly trace your face, drawing my connecting lines, your eyelids flutter, eyelashes brushing me oh-so slightly and in deep sleep you give me a sm

"It's funny." I whispered after you told me it's over. "Forever always seems so long, so far away, and so unreachable. But now look at you, you're holding onto it so tight it's like that forever you promised me, remember? It feels like your forever is choking me... remember making sandcastles mostly out of dead cigarette butts littered through the glittering sand they had become such a common thing even for us two children maybe that's where this all started that day on the beach with our sandcastle made out of disintegrating cigarettes remember how we used to hold our breath as we passed under a bridge even now I do that as I pass by the dark street corners only lit by the fiery lightning bugs hanging on to the tips of cigarettes disappearing with every drag smoke w i s p i n g out with their breath mixed in with the chill of the night maybe that's where it all ended on dark street

Hey everyone, i know i haven't been that active lately and I'm sorry about that, especially to those who left me a comment, some of which are amazing, and I haven't replied, but I've been really busy lately. On top of that I haven't had anything to submit because my current art form choice is JEWELRY and i LOVE it, once I completely finish a piece I'll put a picture up buuu that's not what this journal is about. I would like to ask YOU to help my sister out by simple voting process. so i know i haven't been that active buuut...

i'm really excited, i'm taking this photography class near by and we have to do a project to show in the gallery at the end of the class, my project is going to be like a "Project: Strangers," i'm making cardboard signs and am going to go around asking strangers if they'll hold one up and let me take their picture and to tell me one random fact about themselves, i'm not taking names, only stranger # __ and random fact, and in the show that's all i'm going to put under their picture, so like a picture of a women holding up one of my signs and under is says Stranger # 21 - favorite sport is baseball, idk, but i'm excited, i'm almost done with t
